Single Day Kayak Trips

Kayaking Day Trips from North Vancouver

North Shore Kayaks offer day and evening kayak excursions throughout the year at various locations on British Columbia’s lower mainland. A great way to experience the wilderness of Vancouver’s greater area is from the cabin of a kayak. At North Shore Kayaks, we paddle in custom designed Nimbus Kevlar and fiberglass kayaks and we confidently assure our clients that these are the best kayaks available for rent in the Vancouver area.

Our Vancouver area day trips regularly explore Deep Cove and the Indian Arm fjord, the English Bay, Horseshoe Bay and Howe Sound and can be custom booked at any time, morning or evening, summer or winter. We additionally offer Sunshine Coast Day trips with our sister companies Talaysay Tours at Porpoise Bay Provincial Park in Sechelt and Rising Sun Kayak Adventures out of the Backeddy Pub and Marina Resort in Egmont.

Escape the City on our Deep Cove Day Trip

Just 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver, Deep Cove is a a quick escape for those wanting to get out of the concrete jungle to explore British Columbia’s world-renowned beauty. From Deep Cove, our day trips paddle into the Indian Arm fjord, a 21-km waterway which provides us with sheltered paddling on tranquil protected waters. Mountains will rise on either side of your boat and there are a variety of beaches, offshore islands, parks, cliffs and waterfalls to explore on this trip.

Deep Cove is arguably the best site to launch your kayak on British Columbia’s lower mainland and this trip is without a doubt, North Shore Kayaks most popular adventure. Each trip lasts 4 to 8 hours and also available are moonlight tours.

An added bonus to this trip is you will be given the option of stopping by our beautiful Rising Sun Camp. This 8 acre property up Indian Arm is reserved for the exclusive use of our kayakers and is uniquely beautiful with waterfalls, creeks cliffs and shoreline to explore.

Horseshoe Bay and Howe Sound – West Vancouver

Many Vancouver residents have not explored Horseshoe Bay and Howe Sound beyond the occasional B.C. Ferry Ride. For those looking to explore these Georgia Strait waters and the offshore islands within, kayaking is the perfect vessel for your adventure! From our Horseshoe Bay launch site, Bowen Island and Whitecliff Park are a short paddle away. A day trip here insures spectacular views of the lush mountains and on a sunny summer day, the sublime scenery will remind you of lush tropical escapes like Hawaii!

The English Bay and Stanley Park Paddle

Most tourists traveling to Vancouver have one common bullet on their checklist of things to see in the city and that is Stanley Park. Downtown Vancouver’s gem is popular among those looking to bike, run, golf or play tennis and now, North Shore Kayaks is proud to offer kayaking to those looking to explore the park’s renowned sea wall in a unique way. Our trip launches from West Vancouver, paddles under the famed Lion’s Gate Bridge and makes stops at several of Stanley Parks great beaches. A great time to do this paddle is at dusk, when the sun is down and we can see the twinkle of Vancouver’s lights in the distance.

Sunshine Coast Day Trips

With our partner company, Talaysay Tours on the Sunshine Coast, we are pleased to offer kayaking day trips out of the Porpoise Bay Provincial Park & Egmont Marina. Our Sunshine Coast connection will be happy to plan a day trip to explore British Columbia’s storied Sunshine Coast.
